Oh Susannah! Carole P. Roman Shares Second Early Reader Teaching Book...

Are you ever Afraid? I am... In fact, many of us, both children and adults are afraid of various things. Something, like spiders, I had always been afraid of when I was little, but after I moved into the country, I saw so many insects of all kinds that I slowly accepted that most didn't hurt us and I got used to them, no longer afraid...

Susannah, our main character in Carole P. Roman's new Early Reader Chapter book series, is afraid...but she has grown afraid because one of her friend's brothers keeps teasing her about ghosts! Being teased is bad enough, but when it's meant to make you afraid of something you can't really see, it's especially tough to accept...

That's why Susannah really didn't want to visit her friend overnight...she might actually see the ghost that lived in their house...

Fortunately, Susannah and her mother now are communicating more and Susannah was able to talk about her fears with her mother...but then, she also learned that her parents were going on a short trip, so she kept her remaining thoughts and fears to herself...

And Susannah was immediately bombarded by Lola's brother about the ghost in their house, even showing her a picture of him...

What was going to happen?!

These short stories are intriguing enough to gain readers' attention, not only in what is being taught, about being scared this time, but also because the story itself is a delight... Even a surprise climax made this exceptionally fun and imaginative...

Need help in talking through things with your children about what might be bothering them? Check out this series! These family-oriented books are important contributions for your child's overall emotional growth... Highly recommended.
